Yukon First Nations Resource Conference
Whitehorse, YK
The 6th Annual Yukon First Nations Resource Conference held in Whitehorse, presented a unique and important opportunity for First Nations, governments and resource companies to learn best practices and techniques to work together in a collaborative and beneficial manner. Successful resource development in Yukon requires co-operation and understanding amongst all parties, and this event contributes to achieving these goals.
“This is one of the best conferences I attend over the course of the year. Whitehorse in March is beautiful, in transition to spring, a capital city of less than 30,000. There is no other venue where you can meet business representatives, political leaders, and youth from all 17 Yukon First Nations, learn about viable partnerships, meet and network with resource companies in a relaxed environment. It was here we first networked with representatives from the Na Cho Nyak Dun Development Corporation and created the Land Protection Company (NELPCO).”
